"When we send the first settlers, will the first place of worship be a mosque, church, temple or something else?"

A replica Boleyn Ground, Church of the Latter Day Hammers, complete with android copies of the 1965 Cup Winners Cup winners.

That's what I'm arguing for, anyway

I imagine the first game of 5 a side (without space suits) would be quite exciting...with or without natural grass.

my great, great x 3000 grandson will be hoping for a mars away draw to tottenham clangers FC, rather than klingon city of pluto.

Cunts.

FFS! They know we're here, now. We'll be invaded.

First Lady: "I'm not allowing that thing in my house"

President Dale: "Sweetie, we may have to. The people expect me to meet with them"

First Lady: "Well they're not going to eat off the Van Buren china"

Why didn’t they send two?

If the landing was so risky it seems daft to only send one. That’s a long way for the chance of it be for nothing within a couple of minutes.

I said to the Missus, Mike, that wouldn't it be funny if the first picture was of a Russian traffic warden slapping a ticket on its windscreen

Fantastic achievement. I watched it live on NASA TV and the last part was deemed to be ‘7 minutes of hell’ as they had no contact until it landed..in one piece.
Great scenes as they celebrated in Pasadena. Hopefully this will lead to new discoveries. Exciting stuff.

Six years developing a helicopter just to see if it will work on Mars. That's it. No other reason. Oh, and it can take a colour snap.

An incredible achievement and goes to show what us humans can do when we work together.

I hate robot tracks on my Mars.

Completely ruins the chocolately aesthetic.
